Ayatollah Araki: Issue of unity is a religious duty

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - “The issue of unity and rapprochement is a religious duty upon Muslims,” said Head of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought Ayatollah Mohsen Araki. Speaking among Pakistani delegation to Iran, the grand Ayatollah underscored that the verse of “keep you all to the straps (religion) of Allah, and not to disperse” refers to two orders given by God to all Muslims in point of a fact. First of all, it urges Muslims to get united and second of all, it calls on Muslims to refrain from dispersion and division,” said Ayatollah Araki. The senior cleric underscored, “given that, a person who turns a blind eye to this very important fact actually breaches two Islamic rules.” Ayatollah Mohsen Araki counted those of people who are after disunity as infidels and accentuated that these groups should not be regarded as Muslims. To the senior cleric, it is incumbent upon each one of Muslims to make a move, taking their steps in the realm of unity. Head of the World Forum for the Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought prayed God to help Muslims and lay the ground for them so as to form a united Ummah. “Arrogant-sponsored Zionists centered their willful activities on one issue,” said Ayatollah Araki. The grand Ayatollah beckoned to that point and pointed out, “the actual fact remains that a movement for wanting Islam initiated among Muslims and the Zionist aims at such spot which in turn can be led to forming a united Ummah.” “If all Muslims countries get united, they can turn to a number one power in the region and in the world,” said Head of the World Forum for the Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought. The grand Ayatollah called on Muslims to take the cognizance of such very fact and try their utmost to bolster the standing unity among themselves./149
